Episode 33: Bionics and Future Tech with Erik Lloyd

Youth Team member Binalpreet Kalra interviews Erik Lloyd. Erik is a MASc graduate in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo. His research was focused on deep learning algorithms for bionic arm controls. He is passionate about using robotics and neurotechnology to augment human performance beyond the capabilities of the natural body. This is what his company, Brink Bionics, is focused on. Brink Bionics is a human augmentation company founded out of the Engineering Bionics Lab at the University of Waterloo. He founded the company along with his former Masters supervisor, Dr. Ning Jiang, and Dr. Jiayuan. Find Erik on LinkedIn.
