PRO-spire is an innovative service that uses automated community kitchens and food banks to provide meals and produce to people in the community sourced from potential waste produce. The lack of efficient transportation, food bank locations, geographical location, and socioeconomic conditions all present barriers to the larger issue of food insecurity. Grocery stores tend to have a surplus of produce and must often throw most of it away. Repurposing the excess produce would help reduce food waste while lowering the cost of freshly cooked meals. The automated kitchens would increase the output of these organizations and provide delivery services which no other organization has used. The YAKS initiative would also connect with AK robotics to use co-bots to repurpose the food in the process. We would promote our service via print media, our website, and our app. Our website and app also have Alternative Text features for those with visual impairments, and language and text to speech options for those who may prefer those options.
