EV Innovation and Technology Conference
Youth Culture had the exciting opportunity to attend the EV Innovation and Technology Conference, where industry leaders came together to shape Canada’s electric vehicle supply chain and advanced manufacturing future. With the theme “Navigating the Road Ahead,” the event highlighted key challenges, opportunities, and the power of collaboration in this evolving industry.
YC Youth Ambassador and York University engineering student Jason Ilunga joined us to explore the latest innovations and gain insights into the future of EV technology.
N3 Summit
Youth Culture attended the N3 Summit, Canada’s forum for advanced manufacturing, alongside a talented group of high school girls in STEM and students from Humber’s Electromechanical Engineering program.
The N3 Summit brings together industry leaders, innovators, and future change-makers to explore what’s new, now, and next in manufacturing and technology. From insightful keynotes to hands-on showcases and networking opportunities, the summit highlighted the evolving landscape of Canada’s advanced manufacturing sector and the exciting opportunities ahead.
Make It Safe Youth Challenge
In partnership with NGen and the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC, the Make It Safe Youth Challenge was designed to incorporate youth in a meaningful way to the annual Make It Safe event in Vancouver.
Canadian Coding League
The Canadian Coding League is a national, team-based competition that sparks youth interest in coding and game development through creative, hands-on challenges. Founded in partnership with Simon Fraser University, the league is accessible to students of all skill levels and backgrounds. Like a tech-focused sports league, teams of coders, artists, and storytellers compete in Mini-Challenges and Major Challenges from fall to winter, with top teams advancing to Regionals and Finals. Student projects are showcased live on Twitch by professional streamers and official partners
