Youth Culture is excited to be collaborating with Next Generation Manufacturing Canada (NGen), the industry-led organization leading Canada’s Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster, on a program to virtually engage youth in industry-led manufacturing projects. As part of the Innovation Superclusters, Next Generation Manufacturing Canada is working on groundbreaking projects in technology and manufacturing. The collaboration includes podcasts with NGen industry professionals led by youth and a series of Youth Culture Industry Learning Pods where youth will learn about projects, innovations, inspiring stories, and opportunities in the manufacturing industry. So far, our podcasts collaborating with NGen include an interview with the President of NGen, Jason Myers, the Chief Robotics Officer at Sanctuary AI, Connor Shannon, and more!
The Learning Pods will be led by Youth Advisory Team at Youth Culture, including guest speakers comprised of NGen project leads, and provide students with the opportunity to network with project leads and learn about careers in this space. The first Learning Pod will highlight the NGen collaboration with Sanctuary Cognitive Systems Corporation, ForceN Technology, and the University of British Columbia who are working together to engineer a transformational robotic hand.
This is just the start of Youth Cultures collaboration with NGen so keep an eye out for big things coming!
