Youth Culture’s NEW FAST-TRACK Internship Virtual Program under our Skills & Development initiative will provide week-long internships* and career education to youth ages 15 to 20.

This FAST-TRACK Internship program was designed for maximum engagement incorporating elements of Hackathon-type problem-solving, professional development in the workplace, networking with industry professionals, and an opportunity to connect with others while gaining relevant short-term experience to add onto resumes. Each week, a specific industry will be highlighted so students can join the weeks that are of interest to their learning journeys.

August 23 – August 27, 2021 Skilled Trades in the Evolving Economy

FAST-TRACK Internship Program participants will log onto Zoom from 10 am until 2 pm EST during the week (s) they registered for. They will not only learn about specific industries and career paths, they will also learn applicable work-life skills like practicing allyship in the workplace, and principles of accessibility and inclusion.

FAST-TRACK Internship Program participants will also be divided into teams to research and present a solution to a real-world problem related to that industry. They will have an opportunity to listen to, and network with, related industry experts. The end of the week will culminate in presentations and pitches of ideas researched.
